Engineering analysis
The RIBA Plan of Work published by the RIBA in 2020 defines engineering analysis as: ‘The detailed calculations and analysis required to progress each engineering aspect of the project. During Stage 3 (spatial coordination), this analysis needs to focus on ensuring that the building is Spatially Coordinated by the end of the stage. Where Engineering Analysis does not impact on the Stage 3 design, it can be undertaken at Stage 4 (technical design), when each Building System is detailed.’
